Important notice · Read before you begin
This training may involve breath work, sustained visual focus, and physical exertion. Some of these practices can cause injury if they are done carelessly, in the wrong place, or by someone whose health makes them unsafe.
Read this notice in full before you begin. By enrolling in and using this training, you confirm that you have read it, understood it, and agree to it.
You must be 18 years or older to purchase or undertake this training.
01
This training teaches you to dissociate deliberately from your physical body and to alter your perception on purpose. It may or may not include, among other practices:
These practices are the training rather than incidental to it. If you are not willing to undertake them knowingly, do not enroll.
02
Breath work. Never practice breath retention or altered breathing in or near water, including a bath, pool, or shower. Never practice while driving or operating machinery. Never practice while standing. Practice seated or lying down, on a surface where a fall cannot injure you. Stop immediately if you feel faint, dizzy, numb, or unwell. Altered breathing can cause fainting without warning, and the injury usually comes from the fall rather than the breathing.
Heart rate. Do not attempt to influence your heart rate if you have any heart condition, an arrhythmia, a pacemaker or implanted cardiac device, or if you take medication affecting heart rate or blood pressure. Stop at once if you feel chest discomfort, palpitations, or breathlessness, and seek medical attention.
Visual practices. Blink when your eyes need it. Prolonged fixation without blinking dries the eye and can cause pain, blurring, and lasting irritation. Stop if you experience eye pain, headache, or visual disturbance that does not settle after you stop. Never perform visual practices while driving or anywhere that impaired perception could harm you or another person.
Rapid attention shifting. Stop if you become nauseated, dizzy, disoriented, or develop a headache. Do not continue these practices through discomfort in the belief that pushing further produces results.
When you are new to a practice, have another adult present, particularly for breath work and for the first attempts at any practice intended to separate awareness from the body.
After a session. Give yourself time to reorient fully before driving, operating machinery, caring for a child, or making any decision that matters. Do not go straight from a session into any of these.
Physical practices. Work within your current range. Do not force a posture or a stretch. Stop at pain.
03
Consult a qualified physician before beginning, and do not begin without medical clearance, if any of the following apply: any heart condition, arrhythmia, implanted cardiac device, or high or low blood pressure; epilepsy, seizure disorder, or a history of fainting; migraine or a history of severe headache; respiratory conditions including asthma or COPD; glaucoma, retinal conditions, or recent eye surgery; pregnancy; recent surgery or injury; or any condition for which you take prescription medication.
Mental health, stated plainly. This training deliberately induces dissociation, which is the experience of detachment from your body, your surroundings, or your sense of self. That state is the intended outcome of the practices, not a side effect of them. For that reason, do not undertake this training without the guidance of a qualified professional if you have a history of dissociation, depersonalization or derealization, psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe anxiety or panic, seizures, an eating disorder, or any significant mental-health condition, or if you have experienced these states involuntarily in the past.
The training is offered to the public and intended for people in good health. We cannot assess you individually. Judging whether you are fit to undertake it is your responsibility, and it is a responsibility you take on knowingly.
04
These practices are designed to change what you perceive. You may see objects appear to fade or become translucent, feel parts of your body as absent or as separate from you, lose your ordinary sense of time or location, or have experiences you find frightening. The training itself anticipates encounters a person may find threatening. Expect this, and understand that experiencing it does not mean you are doing something wrong.
Stop practicing and seek professional support if: the effects continue after you stop and do not settle within a short time; detachment, unreality, or perceptual changes appear outside your practice sessions; you cannot reorient yourself to your surroundings; you experience persistent anxiety, panic, low mood, or sleep disturbance; or anyone close to you tells you that you seem changed in a way that concerns them.
If you are ever unable to reorient yourself, or you feel unsafe, contact a doctor or your local emergency service. Nothing in this training is worth your health.
05
You understand that the practices described above carry real risks, including fainting, falls, injury, aggravation of an existing condition, and psychological distress. You undertake every practice voluntarily, at your own risk, and with knowledge of those risks. You accept full responsibility for deciding whether, when, and how to practice, and for stopping when you should.
06
We guarantee no result of any kind: mental, physical, spiritual, or otherwise. What you gain from this training depends on your own practice, your commitment, and your discipline, and results differ from person to person. Nothing here is a promise, a warranty, or a representation that you will reach any particular state, ability, or degree.
What the training says about the nature of reality, other realms, and the spirit body is the tradition’s own account and Dr. deWolfe’s understanding of it. You will be given the exercises. Whether anything comes of them depends on your practice, your discipline, and your tenacity. You can go to the swimming pool, but if you do not get in the water and practice, nothing happens.
07
